Gráinne Sheill
Dr Gráinne Sheill, PhD, MSc, BSc, is an adjunct assistant professor in Trinity College Dublin and a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Cancer Rehabilitation in the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute. She completed her PhD and post doctorate training in exercise oncology in Trinity College Dublin. She has developed two national cancer clinical services in exercise prehabilitation and rehabilitation. Her main research interest is the implementation of cancer rehabilitation into clinical practice. She has published and presented widely on this topic. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Trinity College Dublin. Dr Sheill is a fellow of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Dr Sheill was the Irish Cancer Society’s post-doctorate researcher of the year in 2019 and received an Allied Health Professionals ICS Leadership award in 2023 for the CaRe study (Head and Neck Cancer Rehabilitation: Identifying and Addressing Patient Needs).
Dr Sheill is a member of the Education and Research Matters Working Group and the Cancer Care Working Group of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy.
